Job description
Project ERA-MIN LITHIUM
Lithium supply is becoming more and more critical. It is considered as a key material for batteries, linking it directly to sustainable development. Unfortunately, the way lithium is harvested creates many environmental concerns. Based on a development by Argentinian and Belgian partners, a new technology based on electrochemical processes was established. This technology minimizes water and chemicals usage, and maximizes recovery not only of lithium but also of other elements present in lithium brines. This development has led to a recently approved ERA-MIN project between Argentina, Belgium and Sweden. In this context, we are seeking an engineer, capable of setting up novel processes at laboratory scale and operating from Belgium in cooperation with the international partners.
