Amination is the reaction process of introducing amine groups (-NH2) into organic molecules to form amines. Amines as a very potent drug functional group exist in most drug structures. For example, cyclized amines are considered to be the pharmacophores of penicillin drugs. Modern medicinal chemistry research and design have positioned amine structures as one of the most important pharmacophores. Amino groups are not only the key active groups of various drug substances, but also the important intermediates and ligands in organic synthesis chemistry. In general, the amino groups can be divided into two types with the one is reductive amination and the other one is aminolysis.
