Non-porous poly(Methyl Methacrylate) PMMA particles are functionalized with streptavidin via a long-chain polymer bridge covalently linked to the surface of PMMA particles, and the green fluorophores (Excitation 415–480 nm, Emission 470–550 nm) are incorporated into the particles during the polymerization process.
